PNS Tipu Sultan of the Pakistan Navy is soon to dock at the port city of Dar es Saleem in Tanzania on Monday.
According to a press release from the Pakistan High Commission, the ship is under the command of Captain Rahat Ahmad Awan. It is intended for goodwill and training purposes for a duration of four days. Pakistan Navy officers will meet their Tanzanian counterparts, including army officials.
The PR mentions that navies of both countries will conduct joint training exercises.
In the past, Pakistan Navy had made a similar visit to enhance maritime cooperation ties; PNS Shahjahan had visited Dar es Salaam in October 2010.
