Iran to commission new aircrafts and UAV's by year's end

Iran will commission new domestically made military aircrafts by this year's end, Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said, Mehr reported.

Earlier, Vahidi said Iran was able to stay on path of development and progress despite the pressure and imposed sanctions.

He noted that Iran will also start commissioning unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) by this year's end, while the new submarines, also made by Iranian engineers, will be available for use sometime next year.

Presentation of six types of new military equipment was held in Iran on Tuesday.

Fourth-generation Fateh 110 surface-to-surface missile, Bonyan-4 warship engine , "Armita Flying Lab", "Araz" tactical vehicle, long-range "Vafa" mortar, and "Shahid" surveillance and navigation system were among the presented equipment.

The ceremony, which was dedicated to the Iranian military industry, was attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
